Our Goal

To protect the wellbeing of all living things by stopping the flow of plastic pollution into the Great Lakes though cleanups, education and collaboration in Norfolk County.

Our Focus

Our focus is stopping plastic pollution on Lake Erie and surrounding creeks, rivers and streams (watershed) in Norfolk County. Lake Erie is the drinking water source for 11 million people and has one of the worst concentrations of plastics in the world. Humans and marine wildlife alike are consuming microplastics. We educate the public about how plastic toxins are detrimental to all species’ health.

Our Work

Cleaning Up Norfolk relies on volunteers who selflessly collect litter in Norfolk County’s parks, beaches, roadsides, forests and other natural areas.

Upcoming Events

If you would like to help out at an upcoming event, please contact admin@biosphere.guardiancomputing-forge.com.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, all Cleaning Up Norfolk events have been temporarily suspended. Please check back later for updates.

You can still do your part by cleaning up areas near your home…and when visiting the beach or natural trails, leave only your footprint behind!
